Hitachi Social Innovation Forum 2016 in Myanmar was held at Hilton Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on 5 July. The event showcased Hitachi’s Social Innovation in the global market through hosted seminars, exhibition and gala dinner, presenting a wide range of services, systems and solutions that addressed challenges facing ASEAN cities and societies.

Presentation given by Mr. Hiroaki Nakanishi (Chairman of the Board, Representative Executive Officer Hitachi, Ltd.) titled ‘Toward Myanmar’s Growth’

The various speeches and presentations at the business seminar illustrated Hitachi’s Social Innovation Business and how Hitachi can address the challenging issues faced in Myanmar. Union Minister for Ministry of Education, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar also highlighted Hitachi’s close relationship with Myanmar and conveyed their high expectations of how Hitachi can further contribute to the country’s growth and development.

Hitachi Construction Machinery Asia and Pacific Pte Ltd (HMAP) and its authorized exclusive dealer in Myanmar, Common Purpose Co. Ltd., together with selected customers were invited to the Hitachi Social Innovation Forum (HSIF) 2016. This is the second time that HSIF was held in Hilton Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar and has attracted more than 200 distinguished guests, following previous successful turnout in 2015 at the same venue.

“We like Hitachi Excavators for its good quality, excellent performance and reliability. Some of the excavators that were purchased 20 years ago are still in good working condition,” commented by one of the customers (a senior engineer in the government ministry). Through this engaging event, we believe that it has further enhanced the Hitachi global brand awareness including Hitachi Construction Machinery in Myanmar.
